Tasks are the building blocks of our work, but they can be difficult to manage, especially when you have to flip between different places to see them all.

 

That's where Microsoft's Tasks comes in, the Tasks app is designed to bring together your individual tasks and that of a Teams' Channel into one easy to manage location. Once added, you'll be able to create, assign, and track tasks individually or collaboratively with your team

How to enable Tasks

Start by clicking on the Ellipses icon located at the bottom-left of the menu column, and search for Tasks. Several results will appear, select the one that is titled, Tasks by Planner and Todo

A couple of options will now be available. Add and Add to a team.

  1. Add will only install the Tasks extension to an individual, no other members of a team can see that individual's Tasks.
  2. Add to a team will prompt the user to choose a team, once added to the desired team, the team can begin collaborating on shared tasks.
